Sony Z Camera

I always dreamed up to have the perfect camera. But the perfect camera was never made. iPhone 4S had the build quality that I want from a camera, but it was lacking picture quality — it was just a phone after all.

Abuser experience

Abuser Experience (AX) is related to people who abuse a product and in return they want the product to do all kinds of things, things that the product wasn’t designed or built for. When you design a product you should ask the question: is this feature for a nonuser, an user or an abuser?

Nonuser experience

Not all the people are users. Designers are always focused only on those who are using the products, but they are missing a lot more by ignoring people who aren’t using the products. There is a clear distinction between user experience (UX) and nonuser experience (NX).

The frictionless product

The products aren’t created to satisfy the needs of the few or the needs of the one. They are entities that satisfy the needs of the many. We now have the power and the ability to create digital products that satisfy the needs of every people connected to the Internet. If you give water to someone for the first time, he or she will turn you down because it has no taste, it has no color and it gives you no short-time satisfaction. Water is a frictionless product.

Why Subreply?

Subreply is to Twitter what Pinboard is to Delicious, Reddit to Digg, Linux to Windows, Android to iOS, etc.

Plane and simple

Some people will argue about the grammar difference between “plane” and “plain”, others will accept the title as it is, but very few will notice the creativity, the genius, the magic.

Building Subreply

In a world where nothing is taken for granted, where nothing is given for granted, we have to stand on our own, to make a stand, to give our dreams some perspective, some depth.

JSON without curly braces

I find creating and reading JSON files insanely hard and complex. This is why I want to create a format that’s simple to understand, manage and write by humans. It’s backward compatible with JSON. As you can see I was inspired by Sass and Python. You can call this object notation format: LMON (light machine object notation), PYON, JSON lite or you can come up with a better name.

Animated 3D logo in CSS

I wanted to create a special logo for Subreply, a new product from me. I ended up with an orbital solution that was actually a hack on display refresh rate. Basically the refresh rate of a computer monitor is 60 Hz, but the circle rotated at an higher rate. It created the ilusion that there were more than one circle rotating.

Black and white

Designers are getting tired of “flat design” trend. What’s next? I would say black and white because “flat” became a colour mess.
