§ Brutalism is back

Brutalism was an attempt to create an architectural ethic, rather than an aesthetic. It had less to do with materials and more to do with honesty: an uncompromising desire to tell it like it is, architecturally speaking.

Gridless

There’s a simpler method to create amazing layouts with invisible grids.

The future of the future

The future happens when you take radical decisions. When you say stop and start over. When you say time to move on. When you say you need a change. When you say you want different things. When you want a different job.

Simple, direct and honest

Sometimes we lack motivation and sometimes we look up for it. Motivation is a process of knowing yourself better. If I have to pick three words that mean everything to me, I’ll pick the ones that will motivate me most.

Sufficiently advanced intelligence

Our generation, people in their 20s and early 30s have the obligation to imagine a new future. We are living in a future imagined by old people with old habits and old moral values. The new generation have new values like simplicity, directness and honesty. We want to get rid of complications because they stay in our way. We want to know where we’re going and to lead the way for others to follow. We want to be true to ourselves and be truthful to others.

Sony Z Camera

I always dreamed up to have the perfect camera. But the perfect camera was never made. iPhone 4S had the build quality that I want from a camera, but it was lacking picture quality — it was just a phone after all.

Abuser experience

Abuser Experience (AX) is related to people who abuse a product and in return they want the product to do all kinds of things, things that the product wasn’t designed or built for. When you design a product you should ask the question: is this feature for a nonuser, an user or an abuser?

Nonuser experience

Not all the people are users. Designers are always focused only on those who are using the products, but they are missing a lot more by ignoring people who aren’t using the products. There is a clear distinction between user experience (UX) and nonuser experience (NX).

The frictionless product

The products aren’t created to satisfy the needs of the few or the needs of the one. They are entities that satisfy the needs of the many. We now have the power and the ability to create digital products that satisfy the needs of every people connected to the Internet. If you give water to someone for the first time, he or she will turn you down because it has no taste, it has no color and it gives you no short-time satisfaction. Water is a frictionless product.
